Ajmer Singh Lakhowal, chairman, Punjab Mandi Board, has been re-elected as president of the Bharti Kisan Union (Lakhowal) for the eighth time.
Ajmer Singh Lakhowal, chairman, Punjab Mandi Board, has been re-elected as president of the Bharti Kisan Union (Lakhowal) for the eighth time.
He was re-elected at a meeting of union delegates from across the state held at Gurdwara Manji Sahib in Alamgir village today.
Lakhowal said BKU would form village-level units to organise the farmers in the state. He reiterated his commitment on the issue of direct payments to the farmers.
