Chandigarh, March 29,2012 - Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today ordered a magisterial inquiry into an incident of alleged firing at Gurdaspur, in which one person was killed and another injured. Stating this here today, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister's Office said Mr Badal directed Gurdaspur Deputy Commissioner Mohinder Singh Kainth to get the magisterial inquiry conducted at the earliest in a fair and impartial manner. The Chief Minister also appealed people of Punjab to exercise restraint and maintain peace, communal harmony and amity at all cost. Meanwhile, Gurdaspur Deputy Commissioner had entrusted the inquiry to the SDM Tajinder Pal Singh Sandhu and asked him to submit the report at the earliest.
